WHAT HAPPENS AFTER I SUBMIT A DONATION INQUIRY?

As you may know, there is a lot of behind-the-scenes magic and governance that must take place before we can accept new objects into our collection.

AFTER A DONATION INQUIRY IS MADE…

The proposed donation must be approved for accession or acceptance by the Collections Team.

The collections team reviews all information provided within an inquiry and makes decisions in accordance with Grover Center’s Collections Policy. This team corresponds regularly and meets in-person once a month to process donation inquiries, accesssion new items in the collection, and handle all business related to the museum’s collections.
