In accordance with Governor Holcomb’s re-opening plan for the State of Indiana, Grover Museum re-opened its doors in late June. The phased re-opening plan is subject to change based on local and state conditions and new orders from the governor’s office.
Phase 1: June 16th – July 3rd (Train Room and Warble Gallery Opened)
Phase 2: July 7th – 25th (Lower Level Exhibits Opened as They are Re-Set)
Phase 3: July 28th – August 15th (Streets of Old Shelby Opened)
To ensure the health and safety of our guests, volunteers and staff, several new precautions have been put in place. Anyone entering the facility will be required to wear a mask or face covering. (Disposable masks have been made available at the front desk for those who do not have one.) Guests will also be asked to follow CDC guidelines such as social distancing, using hand sanitizer (available around the museum), not entering if sick or exposed to those who are sick, and not touching surfaces (with the exception of handrails and doors). Additional cleaning has also been arranged. To accommodate the daily and weekly cleaning, museum hours have been adjusted. For the time being, the museum will be open as follows:
Sunday & Monday: Closed
Tuesday & Wednesday: Open 10 AM – 3 PM
Thursday: Closed
Friday & Saturday: Open 10 AM – 3 PM
Any adjustments made to this plan will be announced via our website and social media. If you have any questions, please contact the museum director, Alex Krach at 317-392-4634.
